Summary: Dean and Sam are on the trail of a demon in Arkansas. Behaving a lot like a serial killer. Enough that it attracts the attention of the BAU. Because more attention from law enforcement is, of course, exactly what Sam wanted in his life.
Rating: PG-13
Characters/Pairings: *deep breath* Aaron Hotchner, David Rossi, Jennifer Jareau, Derek Morgan, Spencer Reid, Kate Callahan, Penelope Garcia, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester
Warnings/Tags: violence, squick, gore, horror, graphic discussions of torture, mentions of rape…possibly a swear or two?
Spoilers: “No Way Out,” “No Way Out II: The Evilution of Frank,” and “Nelson's Sparrow.” General spoilers for both shows, but for both Supernatural and Criminal Minds, this story is not tied too closely to either timeline. If it really bugs you, this takes place somewhere in the back half of season 10 of both shows (kind of eps 15-16ish, but I'm not going to be talking about the Mark of Cain, or Cas's Grace, or Hotch's breakup, or any of that. The only story arc element that gets touched on is the recent death of Jason Gideon (*sniff*). Beyond that, no major story arc connections.
Disclaimer: Criminal Minds and everything associated with it was created by Jeff Davis and is the property of CBS Television Studios. Supernatural and everything associated with it was created by Eric Kripke and is the property of Warner Bros. Television. No money has changed hands and no copyright infringement is intended or implied.
Author’s Notes: The title of this fic refers to the Criminal Minds episodes “No Way Out,” and “No Way Out II: The Evilution Of Frank.” There are not two preceding fics and this is not part of a series. Sorry if there's any confusion.

I am an American, writing about American characters. I make no apologies for the cultural references. Though I do welcome any questions, and I have explained some of the ones that might be a little abstruse in the author's notes at the end.

Also, for anyone easily squicked out, let me be absolutely clear: the warnings are not a joke or a precaution. Despite its penchant for unhappy endings, Supernatural has never been even remotely close to as dark or violent—even during mid-season cliffhangers or season finales—as Criminal Minds is every damn week. That is a show that routinely plumbs the depth of human depravity, which is a very deep well. While, yes, the SPN side of this fic is present and accounted for, I feel that it does achieve CM-appropriate levels of horrible. This bad guy is very bad and he does very bad things, which I am going to spell out for you in exactly so many words, and I will not be pausing in the flow of the story to give you a heads up. This is your last warning!

Being Bart

Title: Being Bart
Rating: PG
Summary: Bart Allen muses on what he is and what he isn’t. And does some schoolwork, but that doesn’t come into the story much.
Characters/Pairings: Bart Allen, Tim Drake, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson
Warnings: so much fluff it could drown you
Disclaimer: “Impulse,” “Batman”, and all related characters and situations are the property of DC Comics, Warner Brothers, or both. No money changed hands and no copyright infringement is intended or implied.
Author’s Notes: This is in the same continuity as “World’s Finest?” and “Crimefighting’s For The Birds.” Also, I am apparently allergic to writing Batman stories that actually feature Batman as a main character. What the heck, brain?

The AU is not very AU-y, BTW. I’m just meshing comics with the DCAU. DCAU takes precedence, though if I get this series written very far it will be a DCAU that goes towards Batman Beyond with a less lonely and unhappy Bruce than canon!Bruce.

Title: Christmas In New York
Summary: How Captain America met everyone's favorite wall-crawling web-slinger.
Rating: hard G to soft PG (XD)
Characters/Pairings: Steve Rogers, Peter Parker, Nick Fury
Warnings: slight violence, crossover, excessive Christmassyness
Spoilers: Captain America: The First Avenger and Spider-Man: The Animated Series
Disclaimer: Spider-Man: the Animate Series and everything related to it belongs to Marvel Films Animation, FOX, or both. Captain America: The First Avenger and everything related to it belongs to Marvel Studios, Paramount Pictures, or both. No money changed hands and no copyright infringement is intended or implied.
Author’s Notes: This is a cross with the 1994 animated Spider-Man to the movie's Captain America. It is set a few years post-TAS and a little after Captain America. This requires a bit of canon hand-waving, but nothing terribly extravagant. Certainly no worse than what the comics ask people to do.
This is something I dashed off while working on polishing my Criminal Minds/White Collar crossover up enough to post it. That one is still coming. In the meantime, Merry Christmas, folks!

Christmas In New York )
bungakertas: (batfic)
Summary: Batman and Superman are an unstoppable team. Superboy and Robin are best friends. So Batgirl and Supergirl teaming up would just make sense. …Wouldn’t it?
Characters/Pairings: Cassandra Cain and Kara Zor-El. Absolutely no pairings of any kind. Clark only mentions Lois in passing and Bruce isn’t even seeing Selena on the side. That’s how much of a not-shipping story this is.
Universe: AU. An AU, somewhere between the DCAU and the comics. Kara Zor-El and Cassandra Cain are both from the comics, but from a place before Infinite Crisis and OYL. General continuity-wise, things are closer to the cartoons than the comics, though, and this isn’t set in any specific comic arc (in fact, to try would drive me absolutely bonkers). The Joker is straight out of TAS.
Spoilers: ...Caveat lector.
Disclaimer: Batgirl, Supergirl, and every other character or thing in this story are the property of DC Comics, Warner Brothers or both. No copyright infringement is intended or implied.
Author’s Notes: I’ve been wanting to write this story for such a long time, but I never really had the motivation to actually finish it. Except that now, I do. Go me.
Also, Gotham may be in Anystate, USA in the comics, but for my story, I am superimposing it over real life Delaware City. I need a fixed location in my head in order to write and New York has been done to death. I don’t think this actually comes into the story at all, but there you go.
Series: The DC Stories

World's Finest? )
bungakertas: (batfic)
Rating: PG
Warning(s): minor language
Pairing(s): none
Disclaimer: “Batman” and all related characters and situations are the property of DC Comics. Jurassic Park and all related characters and situations are the property of Universal Studios and Steven Spielburg. No money changed hands and no copyright infringement is intended or implied.
Feedback: All comments are welcome.
Summary: Batman’s first meeting with the chaos mathematician, Dr. Ian Malcolm. It is not under the most ideal of circumstances.
Spoilers: For Batman, nothing specific. For Jurassic Park, all three movies, technically. But not really. You can still watch those movies after reading this fic without them having been ruined.
Author's Notes: Assume that all the dinosaur conventions from the Jurassic Park films apply. I realize that they use very bad science in some places, but I have to work with the available canon, okay?
